The magic of Christmas

I love Christmas and the magic that it brings! I love the glimmer you see in children's eyes as the big day gets closer and closer, it makes me smile and warms my heart. I think that is why I love the movie "A Christmas Story" because it really depicts the magic that is in the hearts of children this time of year. Children are so sweet and innocent, they have such giving hearts, love for everyone, and faith in all that is good. I truly believe that children are our greatest gifts from God. So this year my wish is that everyone can slow down and see the magic in their children's eyes and experience it for themselves. Remember what it was like to be a child, the anticipation, the laughter, the excitement, the love and the faith. Most of all my wish is that everyone remembers to be truly grateful for their greatest gift, their children. Hug them, love them, laugh with them, be childish with them and TELL them you love them, and don't forget to express love, appreciation and gratitude to God for the angels in your life. I love you Pooshky, Toad, Chaddy, and D-Man! Merry Christmas everyone, may you all feel the magic of Christmas!

Always Be Thankfull

I love Thanksgiving time, everyone comes home for the holidays and it is so much fun for me! It always makes me think about what I am thankfull for. I am thankfull for this holiday that my mom made into a tradition for me and my kids! I miss shopping with her this time of year, she loved going to Foleys the day after Thanksgiving and buying her Burberry cologne! I am thankfull for such a wonderfull and loving mother, for my beautiufull children, my amazing grandchildren, my husband who keeps me laughing and young at heart. I am thankfull for a job I really enjoy, good friends, good health, being able to make ends meet in this economy, my sisters and my brother. I am thankfull for laughter and jokes and being able to be a silly heart and not take my academic career seriously! I am thankfull for being at peace in my heart and loving life, and I will always be thankfull!

All mom's deserve to be so lucky!

You know when it's your birthday or Mother's day your kids do extra special things for you and it means a lot to a Mom, It's not the card, the photos, the candy or flowers, it's that they took a small moment out of their day to stop and say I love you Mom. I am gratefull for all the times that my children have shown their love for me on these special days. But it is amazing to me that my children have true compassion and caring in their hearts for me, for my feelings, my emotions and how I am doing. Today is my Mom's birthday and Aleesha once again remembered this day and how I may be feeling and sent me flowers with the most amazing card and sentiment....it brought tears to my eyes that her heart was for me today. Todd has also sent me flowers on unexpected days, for no reason, just to say he loved me. Chad too has always been there with a loving word and hug just because he loved me and wanted me to know it. I am amazed at the love my children show for me. I am blessed to have the children that I do and I want them all to know that I love them with more than my heart can hold.....All Mom's deserve to be so lucky......I am the luckiest Mom in the world!!
